Assignment 3.2 • Shutter Speed

September 25, 2022, Lunenburg, MA. Photo by Jesse Tillers. F11, 1/60s, ISO 800.

Reflection: This assignment was fascinating and a challenge. I finally caught a shot that I felt had some of the desired panning effect, but it felt very subtle and my subject seemed somewhat blurred. My subject was moving quite slowly, which might have been adding to the difficulty, or perhaps I should have tried a slower shutter speed. I discovered that I was getting no results by being farther away, and finally achieved some success by moving close in. I have never tried anything like this so it was an adventure. In both this experiment and the stream of water experiment I had to learn how to control the level of exposure using ISO, which was interesting.
