Assignment 3 • Shutter Speed

Reflection: I found this assignment to be very fun, as the stream of water went from a blur to frozen-in-time, with each individual drop visible. I was in a shaded area, and originally I began with an ISO 250, but I became overwhelmed as the faster shutter speeds forced the ISO up, and my final photos were too dark. I tried again beginning with ISO 400, and I still had to raise the ISO in the final two photos by a great deal, but it worked out. For me, the most vivid example of how the pictures change is in the details of the leaf that is being hit by water. It was also interesting to see how the depth of field shrank as my camera automatically adjusted the F stop.
